About this role
Door-to-Door Fiber Sales Blitz Crew (Travel)
Recruited from Kewanee, IL. This is a traveling blitz crew seat: the crew works where the partner sales organization has a market open — today that is Illinois. The work can include Kewanee where partner-carrier fiber is built. Travel between markets is part of the role. KnockFiber is an independent recruiting company: it recruits for this seat, and you contract with the partner sales organization, not with KnockFiber.
About Kewanee: A historic house in a city park has disappearing doors and windows and an air-cooling system built to work without electricity. The nearest larger airport is Quad Cities International (MLI). A community college campus in the city works with local government on skills training. The city is served by passenger rail on the national Amtrak network. A state recreation area just north of the city offers camping and fishing.
What you'll do:
- Travel with a blitz crew to the market the partner sales organization has open, knock residential doors at addresses where the availability check confirms fiber service, and sign interested households up at the door.
What you need:
- No experience or degree required — the partner provides scripts and training; reliable transportation; able to travel and work away from home for a set window.
Schedule:
- 1099 independent contractor. The partner sales organization sets each market and its window. Partners open blitz markets on a rolling basis; your KnockFiber recruiter matches you to the next crew.
Pay structure:
- Commission only, paid on completed installs. No base pay. Some partner organizations cover part of the travel or housing on some blitzes; it varies by trip, and KnockFiber does not set or promise it. Terms are put in writing before you go. Individual results vary; no earnings are guaranteed.
KnockFiber is the independent recruiting company for this role; you would contract with the partner sales organization for the market your crew works.
