FIBER BLITZ · SOLO REPS · JOIN A CREW

Fiber blitz: what it is, and how a solo rep joins one.

Short answer: a fiber blitz is a door-to-door fiber sales push in a market that has just opened, worked intensively by a crew for a set window, then the crew moves on. You do not need your own crew to join one: apply here as a single rep, and KnockFiber, an independent recruiting company, looks for a crew with an open seat in a market a partner sales organization has open. The partner decides the crew, the market and the timing, and a seat may not open where you can go. Every seat is a 1099, commission-only contractor placement paid on completed installs. Individual results vary and no earnings are guaranteed.

What a fiber blitz is

When a carrier opens a market or a build passes new homes, the partner sales organization that sells there wants the market covered while it is new. A blitz is how that gets done: a crew of door-to-door reps, a lead and a schedule arrive together, knock the market hard for the set window, and move on when the window closes. Reps call it knocking a blitz, blitzing a market or a fiber sales blitz; the word comes from general sales, where a blitz is a short, concentrated push on one territory (sources). What makes a fiber blitz different from working your own market is where you are and for how long, not what you sell or how you are paid.

A blitz is not a permanent territory, not a guarantee of any number of doors or installs, and not a job with a base. The pay is the same 1099 commission on completed installs as any other rep placement.

Joining a blitz as a solo rep: how it works

  1. Apply on this page and choose Just me — I want to join a blitz crew and work fresh markets on the last question. Say where you are, how far you will travel and for how long at a stretch.
  2. Your recruiter, Grayson Sorrentino, texts you back and asks about range and start date. If a partner sales organization has a crew with an open seat in a market that fits you, your application is registered with it. If none is open where you will go, your application is kept on file and you are contacted if one opens. There is no set timeline, and a blitz may not open where you can go.
  3. The partner sets the blitz: the market, the crew you join and the window. It onboards, trains and badges you; its onboarding covers the product and the pitch. Some partner organizations cover part of the travel or housing on some blitzes; it varies by trip, and KnockFiber does not set or promise it. Terms are put in writing before you go.
  4. You knock. Pay is 1099 commission on completed installs, on the partner's schedule, with no base. When the window closes the crew moves to the next market, and you decide whether to go with it.

Before you travel for any crew, including the crews KnockFiber recruits for, read ten questions to get answered in writing and which cities require a permit to knock.

The terms, in plain words

  • What KnockFiber is: an independent recruiting company. One application, and a KnockFiber recruiter matches you to a partner sales organization — a door-to-door sales agency or crew — that has an opening where you are, if one does. Applying guarantees no placement. KnockFiber is not a carrier and not the employer.
  • The work: door-to-door sales of fiber and home internet in 1284 cities across 39 states, through the partner sales organizations named in the site footer.
  • Pay: 1099 independent contractor, commission only on completed installs, no base. Commission is paid on a set schedule: every two weeks on completed installs, or every Monday, depending on the partner sales organization for your market. Individual results vary and no earnings are guaranteed; KnockFiber publishes no income figures.
  • Chargebacks: whether a cancelled install is charged back, and for how long, is set by the partner sales organization — get it in writing before you start.
  • Travel and housing on a blitz: Some partner organizations cover part of the travel or housing on some blitzes; it varies by trip, and KnockFiber does not set or promise it. Terms are put in writing before you go.
  • Training, scripts, badge and territory: the partner sales organization provides them and assigns your doors. Whether a quota or ride-alongs apply varies by partner.
  • Experience and fees: no experience required and no résumé. No fee: KnockFiber never charges a rep anything.
  • After you apply: a KnockFiber recruiter texts you back to talk through your city, your background and what is open.

What you bring, and what the partner provides

You bring: the commitment to a window away from home, reliable transportation, a phone, comfort working outdoors and talking to strangers, and the contractor paperwork the partner requires. No experience and no degree required; a solar, pest, alarm or cable door background carries straight across. The partner provides: onboarding and product training, your badge, the market and the window, the crew lead, and commissions on completed installs. KnockFiber provides: the recruiter who looks for an open seat that fits you, and never charges you anything. Terms of any specific blitz come from the partner in writing, not from this page.

Blitz crews working now

Door-to-door fiber sales blitz crews are working in these markets now, per a partner sales organization's written market list of October 21, 2026 and its request of October 24, 2026. Dallas–Fort Worth is the priority for November.

Blitz rep, blitz crew, blitz manager

A blitz rep is one person knocking a blitz market; that is the seat this page is about. A blitz crew is the group of reps who travel and work the market together. A blitz manager runs the crew on the ground. If you lead a crew or want to run one, apply on the blitz teams page, which speaks to crews and managers; the terms are defined in plain words in the glossary.

Joining a blitz alone, in plain words

  • The crew: a small team the partner sales organization puts together for a newly opened market; a solo rep is placed onto it, so you do not need your own people.
  • The window: a stretch of a few weeks set by the partner, with the market named; what comes after is the partner's call.
  • Get it in writing: the dates, the market, the pay trigger and schedule, and the chargeback window, before you commit.
  • Some partner organizations cover part of the travel or housing on some blitzes; it varies by trip, and KnockFiber does not set or promise it. Terms are put in writing before you go.
  • Pay: 1099, commission only on completed installs, no base; individual results vary and no earnings are guaranteed.
  • The recruiter: KnockFiber matches you to the partner and charges nothing; the partner contracts with you. Applying guarantees no placement.

Fiber blitz FAQ

Can I join a fiber blitz without a crew?
Yes. Apply on this page and choose “Just me — I want to join a blitz crew and work fresh markets” on the last question. A solo rep is placed onto a crew that has an open seat in a market a partner sales organization has open; the partner decides which crew, which market and when. There is no set timeline, and a seat may not open where you can go. Your KnockFiber recruiter texts you back and tells you what is open.
What is a fiber blitz, in one sentence?
A fiber blitz is a door-to-door fiber sales push in a market that has just opened, worked intensively by a crew for a set window, after which the crew moves on to the next market.
Do I need experience to join a blitz?
No. Experience helps but is not required, and nobody needs to have sold fiber before: the partner's onboarding covers the product and the pitch. What you do need is to commit to a window away from home, reliable transportation, a phone, comfort working outdoors and talking to people, and to be legally able to work in the US as an independent contractor. Some cities also require a solicitor's permit before anyone knocks.
Who pays for travel and housing on a blitz?
Some partner organizations cover part of the travel or housing on some blitzes; it varies by trip, and KnockFiber does not set or promise it. Terms are put in writing before you go.
How long does a fiber blitz last?
There is no fixed length. General sales sources describe a blitz as a short-term push that runs for days, weeks or at most a month or two (see Sources). For a specific blitz the partner sales organization sets the window; ask for it before you go.
Is a blitz a job, and what does it pay?
It is not a job offer, and no figure is quoted here on purpose. Every blitz seat is a 1099 independent-contractor, commission-only role paid on completed installs, with no base pay. Individual results vary and no earnings are guaranteed. KnockFiber is an independent recruiting company, not the employer and not a carrier, and never charges a rep anything.
Where are fiber blitzes open right now?
In the markets listed under “Blitz crews working now” on this page, per a partner sales organization's written market list. The list changes as partners open and close markets; the recruiter confirms what is open when you apply.
What is the difference between a blitz rep, a blitz crew and a blitz manager?
A blitz rep is one person knocking doors in a blitz market. A blitz crew is the group of reps who travel and work the market together. A blitz manager runs that crew on the ground: the daily plan, the split of streets, the check-ins and the tally. Solo reps join a crew; managers and whole crews apply on the blitz teams page.
