Kinetic is Windstream’s consumer fiber brand, and it is one of the densest door-to-door products in the country — whole towns where nearly every address can order.
Apply to knock fiber →Kinetic is the brand Windstream sells residential fiber under, to the point that windstream.com now redirects to gokinetic.com. Windstream has since combined with Uniti Group, which is the entity that files the availability data — so if you see Uniti and Kinetic used interchangeably in coverage records, that is why.
What makes Kinetic unusual for a door rep is density. Where it builds, it tends to build the whole town rather than selected subdivisions. Chautauqua County, New York is the clearest example we have mapped: Jamestown sits around 97% of homes serviceable, Lakewood about 98%, Falconer and Frewsburg 96%, and Sinclairville and Bemus Point at 100%. That is close to a clean sheet — almost every door you reach is one that can actually buy.
Carriers rarely hire knockers directly. Door-to-door is run through authorized third-party sales organizations — they recruit, onboard, train, badge and pay the reps, and the rep sells the carrier's product at the door. It's why searching a carrier's name plus "careers" turns up corporate roles and almost never a door-knocking application.
KnockFiber sits one layer earlier. We recruit fiber sales reps and place them with vetted partner sales organizations, and the partner handles credentials and pay from there. You tell us your city; we match you to whoever is actually hiring in it. More on the general shape of this: how carrier fiber D2D programs work →
It's a 1099 independent-contractor role, commission only, paid every two weeks on installs that actually complete — no base, no quota, no guaranteed paycheck. Individual results vary and no earnings are guaranteed. Full breakdown: how fiber sales pay works →
Fiber is an easier door than most: no credit check, no contract, and usually faster internet for less than the household already pays. Prior door-to-door experience — solar, alarms, pest, security — transfers directly. If you have none, that's workable too: start here →
Kinetic reports fiber across roughly 21 states, weighted toward smaller cities and rural towns in the Southeast, Midwest and Texas — the kind of markets where a crew can work a whole county without long drives. We are opening these market by market; the Chautauqua cluster is first.
