Mount Pleasant at a glance
This might be the biggest economic-momentum story in Wisconsin: Microsoft's first Mount Pleasant datacenter went fully operational in June 2026, hundreds of permanent jobs are ramping with more buildings approved, and the boom is actively pulling new residential development to the I-94 side. T-Mobile's availability page lists Mount Pleasant and Sturtevant as live T-Mobile Fiber communities (checked September 26, 2026), and availability is per address. Separately, Metronet announced in May 2025 that it was bringing its fiber-optic network to Mount Pleasant.
The doors range from postwar ranches near the Racine line to brand-new subdivisions toward I-94, with Sturtevant's compact rail-town blocks in between. Note the honest boundary: T-Mobile's availability page lists Mount Pleasant and Sturtevant (checked September 26, 2026) — the city of Racine itself isn't on T-Mobile's list, so reps work the villages, address by address.
