Natchez's own welcome guide describes a town built on a bluff about 200 feet above the Mississippi, and its tax-abatement section lists seven historic districts, among them On-Top-of-the-Hill and Under-The-Hill. ACS 2020–2024 estimates put 16.7% of the 7,813 homes in buildings from 1939 or earlier and 72.8% in detached houses, so a route would work older house-by-house blocks.
Natchez, Mississippi had 14,520 residents in the 2020 Census and 14,233 by the Census Bureau's 2024 estimate, across 15.82 square miles of land. The city's own June 2024 welcome guide places the Adams County Courthouse, built in 1821, on South Wall Street, and lists the Natchez Convention Center at 211 Main Street.
