ACS 2020–2024 estimates put homes built since 2010 near half the stock, and most are detached houses, while the historic homes near downtown that the CDC describes make a different kind of day.
The 2020 Census counted 13,508 people in Royse City; the Census Bureau's estimate for 2024 is 26,387, on 20.2 square miles of land, and Hispanic or Latino residents were 23.1% of the 2020 total.
